Otelo eGen
Challenge
What do I want to do later in life? For many young people, this is not an easy question to answer. To help them find the answer, the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce has created the Berufserlebniswelt (Career Experience World). This interactive, multimedia exhibition enables visitors to learn about a wide variety of professions in a playful way, explore manual skills and possibly discover unknown interests.
With multimedia installations, educational games and technical advice, we have contributed our part to this innovative world of experience. In close cooperation with our project partners, we realised this technically demanding project from the initial concept to the on-site installation.
Concept
Thorough planning
At the end of 2024, we began designing the project under the leadership of Otelo eGen. The goal was to create an interactive world of experience that combines modern technology with educational standards. Together with seven partner companies and under our technical leadership – together with KLT – a unique concept was created.
Realisation
With combined forces
We accompanied the project from the initial prototypes and click dummies through screen design with feedback loops to final implementation. Modularization of recurring elements—such as turn-based controls—ensured efficiency and consistency. Intensive in-house hardware testing guaranteed smooth integration on site.
Due to the many areas of activity – design, development, hardware, network, system architecture and project management – everyone in the team was fully involved at one point or another in the project process.
Result
Smooth collaboration
With the timely development of five applications and central event control, we successfully implemented a technically demanding project. The solutions involves various platforms – from Brightsign installations with touchscreens and LED panels to kiosk systems with graphics tablets and specially configured gaming PCs for continuous use.
Precise coordination and fine-tuning on site resulted in a well-rounded overall picture that is not only technically impressive, but also offers young people new perspectives and professional inspiration. A project that combines technology and education in a sustainable way.
