Who hasn't wanted to see their company logo on an aeroplane? LXM Aero GmbH makes it possible. In an easy-to-use online configurator, anyone can embellish various areas of the aircraft with their own images to their heart's content. At the heart of the configurator is our 3D web component, which gives the user an idea of what the finished aircraft could look like.

Configure like in flight
The aim of the configurator is to give potential customers an impression of how their artwork will look on the various aircraft types as quickly and easily as possible. Proven navigation options and appealing rendering allow users to visualise their design in real time. Charming foiling animations via custom shaders are an exemplary indicator of the detailed realisation.
outcome
Maximum flexibility thanks to web components
The interactive 3D visualisation of the aircraft, including the wrapping, formed the central component of the configurator web application. The web application itself was developed by a partner company with the help of a web framework.
We decided to implement the 3D visualisation as a native web component. This allowed us to ensure smooth integration into the application while remaining completely independent of the framework used. Thanks to defined and extensively documented interfaces, the interaction was more than problem-free.
